Auchinachie Cares

Auchinachie Services proudly gives back to the community that has supported our local business for more than a century.

In September of 2016, Auchinachie Services launched a program called Auchinachie Cares. Each month, our team selects a local non-profit organization and donates $1,000.00 to their cause. It’s a great way to bring awareness to these organizations and reward them for the great work they do in and for our community.

Vestal Public Library earn $1,000 from Auchinachie Cares!

The Friends of the Vestal Public Library (FVPL) is a community-focused nonprofit organization made up of dedicated volunteers who work to support and strengthen the Vestal Public Library and the community it serves. Throughout the year, FVPL volunteers lend their time to the Library through outreach at community events, assisting with book sales, maintaining the Library’s outdoor gardens, and helping grow membership. The group also works to build awareness and public support for the Library by participating in and helping plan programs and special events. Through fundraising efforts, the Friends help provide resources for important Library and community needs, including capital improvement projects, technology updates, and meaningful programs and services. Their volunteerism, advocacy, and fundraising efforts help ensure the Vestal Public Library remains a welcoming, valuable resource for the entire community.

JCC Binghamton earn $1,000 from Auchinachie Cares!

For nearly 100 years, JCC Binghamton has been bringing the community together through programs that support all ages and stages of life. From infant care, preschool, UPK, school-age care, and summer camp to pickleball, SilverSneakers, swimming lessons, group fitness classes, and year-round community events, the JCC provides a welcoming space where families connect, children thrive, and older adults stay active and engaged. As they approach their 100-year anniversary in 2027, their impact continues to strengthen the Southern Tier through inclusive programs that foster wellness, friendship, and community connection.

Southern Tier Veterans Support Group earn $1,000 from Auchinachie Cares!

The Southern Tier Veterans Support Group is dedicated to supporting veterans, service members, and their families across the Southern Tier. Founded in 2011, they partner with more than 70 affiliated agencies to connect veterans with critical resources, including financial assistance, housing support, mental health services, employment tools, and essential needs such as transportation and emergency aid. Through community education, collaboration, and direct support, STVSG works to enhance the physical, emotional, and economic well-being of those who have served, making a meaningful difference for veterans throughout the 14 counties they serve.

12th Annual Police Week Charity Basketball Tournament earn $1,000 from Auchinachie Cares!

The 12th Annual Police Week Charity Basketball Game is set for May 16th, and this year’s event carries a deeply special purpose. An annual tradition that brings our community together in support of local law enforcement families. Each year, this event raises funds that are donated directly to families in need, offering support during difficult times and honoring those who have served. This year, proceeds from the evening will go directly to Cassidy Bunce, the widow of a dedicated Tioga County Sheriff’s Department Investigator who passed away unexpectedly. Come out for a fun, family-friendly night and help make a meaningful impact.

Arrowhead & Shepherd Camp is dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and enriching camp experience for children and adults with disabilities. Their mission is to create an environment where participants can build confidence, independence, and lifelong friendships through outdoor activities, recreation, and social engagement. The camp focuses on inclusion, personal growth, and fun, ensuring every camper has the opportunity to learn, play, and thrive in a nurturing community.
